Blooper Magazine - Founder & Editor

I trained as an actor in the UK in 2012, gaining a First Class Honours Degree. Since then, I have worked as an actor and writer in London, UK and Sydney, Australia whilst also pursuing other careers.

I created Blooper Magazine as I was frustrated with the industry mindset that you have to have "made it" to call yourself an actor.

What does that even mean? The film and TV industry is not like any other job, you cannot easily land a permanent contract and work your way up the ladder.

It is difficult to pursue it full-time if you do not have financial backing. Yet, most of the content out there encourages you to put everything you have into it, or else you have failed.

I wanted to create content that was about balance and a healthy mindset. To start a community that encourages others to pursue storytelling, not for fame or fortune but because it is fulfilling.

To release the pressure off others to be perfect and instead, see the lessons and beauty in making mistakes.

To tell others, and myself, to feel the fear and do it anyway.
